In the Hawaiian language, the Petroglyphs are called "ki'i pohaku", meaning "image in stone". The term "petroglyph" especially applies to pictures and symbols carved into a rock surface by the people of prehistoric time.

Each Tagua jewelry is available with brown outer shell or cut into a circle or oval shape depending on the chosen petroglyph. Sizes will varie since each Tagua slice is unique and different, with its own shape and size. (See sizes bellow).

The Tagua shell is sanded and polished by hand, one at a time, to create a beautiful and unique marbled pattern.  After the sand has been glued to the Tagua and allowed to set, a final protective coating is then applied to the jewelry for durability.  For the final touch, a beautiful hand-made bail is added to the cut Tagua jewelry.  Each pendant comes to you with satin cord and gift box.
